Recipe of the Week

So if any of you are familiar with Dr. Joel Fuhrman, he is a family practice doctor who specializes in nutritional medicine and is also a New York Times Best selling author, who happens to be someone's work I follow and a colleague I really admire. He is also telling people to try to get GBOMBS into their diet. It stands for Greens, Beans, Onions/Garlic, Mushrooms, Berries, and Seeds/Nuts.
One night I was thinking about what to make and I was hungry for some spaghetti sauce. I googled raw vegan marinara sauce, and this recipe came up. I kinda played with the ratios a bit and found this works best for my palate. Its savory, spicy depending on the amount of garlic and delicious. Here at the Transformational Wellness Project we are NOT about processed foods, so we can put this over some form of cooked grain like brown rice, quinoa, etc.

Raw Pasta Sauce

2-3 Tomatoes

1 sliver of Onion (1/8" thick)

3-6 cloves of Garlic

Fresh Oregano Leaves (1-3 stems full)

Juice from 1 Lemon

Dash of Celtic Sea Salt

Blend until smooth!

Enjoy!
